Why this must be read: After Spike burns to ash in "Chosen", Buffy goes to Hell to rescue him, but it doesn't go as easily as she'd hoped. This story is amazing on many levels, and it's full of substance. First of all, there's the novel and richly detailed vision of hell, which is sometimes starkly horrifying and sometimes oddly funny. There's also the brilliant characterizations. Neither Buffy nor Spike are perfect people, and this story never shies away from their flaws; nevertheless, their best qualities are here, too, in a true balance that feels very human and natural and canonical. I think what I like best about this story (though it's a close race) is the way those exquisite characterizations don't leave off in the character interactions. Buffy and Spike have issues---let's face it, both of them are difficult people, even separately---and this story does an amazing job of dealing with those issues in ways that feel very plausible and satisfying.

So I originally posted this over at shawn_lassiter but I was told that this community was more active so here we go again. 

Fist of all hello guys, I am a huge Lurker and I have decided to climb out from under my rock and say hi! I hope to now be an active part of this community (at least in discussions and feedback & stuff) :D

Second of all I wanted to know if any of you were interested in doing a psych re-watch? I was thinking of doing something similar tobn_slash  re-watch (here) or kirkspock 's re-watch (here). I think it would be fun to rewatch things from the begining and see what we catch this time around. All of the episodes can be found streaming here ,  here  and pinglederry has directed me to this site which is supposedly awesome because it has flash and DivX versions of the episodes. Also if neccisary I might be able to provide dl links for some of the episodes.

Things that it might be fun to watch for:
How many times in an episode Shawn molests Carlton ( I was re watcing the first couple of episodes today and in the first few alone he grabs his leg, grabs his face and sits on his lap. I just might already be compiling a picspam of these from the first few episodes already)
What names Shawn calls Gus
Where is the Pineapple
A list of all of Shawn's previous jobs
what else do you guys think we should watch for

Things to address
(1.  who is interested.
(2. What community should we host it in? (a slash centric community or a general community so everyone can join in on the fun?)
(3. how many episodes a week should we watch

Because this is exactly the kind of situation that the Doctor and Rose would get themselves into. Only Rose would ever accidentally get engaged to some random alien trying to invade Earth, and only the Doctor would come up with the brilliant idea of getting married themselves in order to preempt the engagement. This story is just so ridiculously adorable, and it's certainly a unique take on the post-Journey's End Doctor/Rose wedding fic.

Why this must be read: This is without a doubt both the most ambitious and the most successful epic length, myth-arc story that anyone has attempted in, well, in quite some time. Amal takes on the messy, incoherent series canon, which was only made worse by the dismal 2008 movie, and actually makes it better. But despite its carefully crafted, hard scifi realism, at its heart, it's a story about the relationship between Mulder and Scully. All of the regulars at least make an appearance in this story, and she also has created an original character who is making a serious play for the place in my heart currently reserved for Kel's Jerry Luskin. What is more, she has continued to write in this universe, stories that make me cry, stories that make me laugh. I can't believe this hasn't been recced yet. Oh, and it's got some great illustrations by scooly42.

Why this must be read:

Xanthe is arguably one of the best authors in the NCIS fandom. In Sunrise, she explores what happens when Gibbs retires from NCIS (heaven forbid!). I want the series to end like this – it's so perfect on so many levels! It touches on what happened to various members of the team over the years and what they're doing now - and then finally to what Gibbs actually does with his life after he retires: sailing off into the sunrise. It's poetic, in a way, and the ending will break your heart and put a smile on your face at the same time.

I think everyone wants Gibbs to live forever and stay at NCIS until the world ends, but in reality, that can't happen. This story deals with that reality beautifully, and I re-read it on a regular basis. It's fantastic – go read!

Why this must be read:This is a great story about the love they have for each other and that they will both do what ever it takes to help the other, no matter what it entails, because that`s what friends are for.
The story takes place after the Fix, Hutch is still not quite ready to go back to work and Starsky is doing some police work on his own in a small town. Now a Starsky without a Hutch is bound to run into some trouble and when a Starsky is in trouble, even weak and hurting, Hutch will go and find him.

It had actually been simple, originally. Starsky had been working on a case for a week when word came that his lead suspect had skipped town. With no official warrant issued yet, Starsky had decided the best thing would be to go after the guy himself, and Dobey had reluctantly concurred.

Hutch hadn't.

It didn't help that Starsky wasn't feeling well, fighting some bug, and Hutch didn't think he should be going anywhere, let alone into unfamiliar territory without back-up after a dangerous felon. Dobey had tried to talk to Hutch about it only to find himself at the receiving end of a temper that even he couldn't match. But in the end, it had been Starsky's expression that had convinced him when no argument could. Hutch hadn't said another word.

Then Starsky disappeared.
